Welcome! My favorite places... 1) Big Mug is my favorite overall for hanging out while drinking coffee 2) 1 oz coffee in northern Santa Clara has great coffee in an outdoor patio 3) Santana Row (just a hair south of Santa Clara) has a Blue Bottle. Other: Kettle'e has a great chai selection

I've been in a similar place! Currently I'm trying to go to more art activities here in SF like figure drawing and art nights, but it's very different from the immersive tech/art experiences you can get in places like NYC.

@SarchimorWatery1 (just got back from a long business trip). Would love art activity suggestions! I went to this the other day although I think they are still trying to get into the rhythm of it (was the first one): https://www.eventbrite.com/e/emergence-art-love-and-math-in-the-age-of-ai-tickets-1011334718367 Was discussing SF vs LA vs NY art with some folk last week (inspired by recent Adam Savage video). The general thought was that SF art these days tends to be more a hobby for working professionals than a profession. So the community is a bit less competitive / easier to get started in, but at the same time its much harder to make a living. NY (and LA) by comparison tends to be more professional with cover charges and sponsors being more common. One of the results of this might be lots of small ad-hoc projects and larger projects for festivals (ie burning man) but fewer galleries.

My father grew up a farmer and is actually quite adept at the propagation technique you mentioned! It always fascinated me how he had the ability to literally copy and paste plants. It seemingly seems like we're at similar stages in our lives with new jobs in the city + attempting to break mundane routines and experimenting with strategies to facilitate personal development in life. Sent a coffee req!
