Take it slow
Around The Corner is a place where words connect people over coffee.
We don’t do mindless scrolling and left-right swiping. We want slow-paced encounters that will last longer.

From Faceless to face-to-face
At Around The Corner, we are all nobody. Be your true self without fear of judgment.
We enjoy thoughtful writing and deeper conversations.

Made by two strangers
Around The Corner began as a small project in the SF Bay Area in 2023.
CH and Nicholas met as strangers and are now good friends.

In 2023, I met two strangers over coffee every week for three months in the SF Bay Area. I needed it to break free from my numb and quiet life in a small bubble. The project went well, and I unexpectedly got a growing waitlist of over 150 people from all over the places. I met Nicholas in SoCal through the project. Together, we turned the waitlist into a community, and now we are growing ATC to rediscover our third places.

As of January, I am working on Around The Corner full time! This has continued to be an incredibly fulfilling project. I recently reflected that, if I won the lottery, I wouldn't change anything about how I spend my time. I am putting my time towards things I really care about. My family, my community, and improving the lives of others. I'm slowly but surely building up the meaningful connections in my own life, and the future is looking bright.
