I came across a book titled The Temple in the House about the intersection of architecture and spirituality. Not sure I agree with every idea they present but using architecture and home design as an extension of the soul as well as it's resting place has given me lots to ponder on. Have I built a home the reflects me and let's me rest in myself? What would a temple built to sanctify me include? Can that be in my home too?

Where are you at in your life stage?
Lots of change in my life right now - recent empty nester and new to my neighborhood. I'm closing in on retirement and working as a consultant. I now have free time to do some of the things I enjoy.
How's your life?
Life is great, and I'm excited about finally having the time to do what I enjoy.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Being outside keeps me sane - hiking, biking, paddleboarding, walking my Great Dane. I've also enjoyed rediscovering reading for fun. To wind down, I love to cook while enjoying a glass of wine.
What is most important to you right now?
I'd love to meet some new like-minded people. I enjoy meeting new people, and working remotely and as a consultant limits my ability.
Anything you recently found interesting?
The world is such a strange place right now. The news never fails to surprise me.

Where are you at in your life stage?
Being in my mid twenties, I am still trying to figure out who I want to be. Currently I’m working night shifts, and hopefully switching to normal hours soon. I was also going to school for Graphic Communication associates but sadly had to drop out because it was getting too exhausting. I’m hoping to go back as soon as possible. I’m married, and have two cats. Most likely we won’t have any kids. I am from Guatemala and moved here in 2017, I love San Diego. Its weather is perfect to do anything, and everyone I’ve met is extremely nice.
How's your life?
Working night shifts atm :(. Depending on how things go I should start a normal 9-5 soon, I am so looking forward for it. But since that hasn’t happened yet, I’m usually at work from midnight to 8:30am, I’m free from the rest of the day until 2/3pm. I try to keep the same schedule to keep my sanity, or at least what’s left of it. You can find my at any hiking trails enjoying the weather, and I’ve been trying to get more into everything related to video production. There’s something about multimedia that excites me. I think it’s the ability to communicate so many things to other people using the multimedia.
What helps you keep your sanity?
As I said before, going on hikes or doing anything outdoors. I’ve only gone camping once and I loved it. So I hope I get to go on more adventures. I also play call of duty, I am not good at all, but it’s fun playing from time to time. Something that doesn’t really help my sanity, but I want to get into it, is making videos. I think expressing emotions through videos would be something helpful for my mental health.
What is most important to you right now?
The most important thing for me right now is basically surviving. It’s been tough to see the positive in things lately, but I know that with human connection and good people, everything will be better. Human connection is also important for me. It’s something that helps me get out of my comfort zone, and rewarding at the end.

If you are going through HRT treatment (for transgender people (MF)), your feet will shrink a couple of sizes! I’m not sure if it’s something that happens to everyone, but that’s what happened to my husband’s cousin.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I’m content, happy, learning gratitude, acceptance. I’ve learned to prioritize happiness, well I’m still learning. I’m 42, I feel the same as I always have, just a little wiser. Making connections is a little difficult for me due to my job. I do think shared experiences are more memorable so I’m hoping to meet some good people here for either intelligent conversation, outdoor activities, or both.
How's your life?
My life is good, I’m very fortunate. My work rotation is 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off. So I’m either gone, or in San Diego with lots of time. I work internationally and have for most of my career. My younger brother and his family who I’m very close to are moving to Miami, so that’s a big change for me.
What helps you keep your sanity?
The gym, family, having a job that I enjoy, walks, plants, fostering dogs, surfing, snorkeling La Jolla, swimming to the sea caverns.
What is most important to you right now?
Mental and physical health. Being present, going to the beach. Enjoying my life.
Anything you recently found interesting?
3 Body Problem, thinking about the concepts and science in the show, and the Dark Forest hypothesis.
