Where are you at in your life stage?
Living the SINK life: single income no kids. :) Very happily in a LDR though it means I feel more single than coupled on a day-to-day basis. Pretty happy with my work as well; it keeps me busy and I don't hate it. I work remotely (amazing commute from the bed to the desk!) and sooommmeettimmmeesss.... I wish I had an office to go into. I miss having random conversations in the kitchen or taking walks for morning coffee or to refresh in the afternoon.
Socially I'm looking to get out there a bit more. Right now probably just looking for some casual friends to spend some time and/or try new experiences with. (If we become besties super cool! If not no pressure. I've learned everyone's path goes their own way and just enjoy the time together.)
How's your life?
Life is going okay. Work is interesting but not keeping me fully occupied so I'm looking for some more! Recently-ish (everything is only 3 months in this post-covid world! or maybe I'm just growing old...) moved down from the Bay Area to be closer to family but I unfortunately left all my friends behind. Plus I'm a homebody and an introvert so it's been hard to make friends. I swing between being lonely and wanting to be ALL THE SOCIALS and being content rolling around the couch. (Couch potatoes unite!)
What helps you keep your sanity?
Playing games and drinking boba! I play one computer game (guildwars 2) and I just turn my brain off as I mindlessly hit buttons. Sometimes I even accomplish something! Otherwise I'm fortunate to have some close friends who will listen to me blah blah blah when things are getting too much. They laugh at my misfortunes; I get emotional release: wins all around! (Don't worry! I won't blah blah on you until we're good friends! I'm an introvert until we're good friends.. then it's hard to shut me up. >:) )
Also boba. When things are good: celebrate with boba. When things are bad: cheer up by drinking boba! Boba solves all. (Welcoming all boba recommendations! I tend to prefer the simple: milk tea or fruit tea and boba.)
What is most important to you right now?
Enjoying my life! I hope to have a family in the future but children are a BIG responsibility. I'll just enjoy my freedom now while I still can! Also looking to set down more roots in OC and make some friends. It'd be great to hang out once every 2-3 weeks and do something new/interesting/fun. (Or we could.. just grab some boba, chit chat, and go for walks? I could probably swing that once a week... I have a very limited social meter that just got shorter over the pandemic!)
Oh.. and maybe becoming more healthy.... maybe... can someone please gift me some motivation? :(
Anything you recently found interesting?
Escape Games: I know they've been around forever but they're reallllyyy so fun! I'm always down for an escape game.
More a shower thought but: The nicer the house/apartment/etc. the more people tend to stay at home and thus build less connections. In contrast if your house/apartment sucks you just always want to go out and then you meet more people! Such a weird aftereffect of prosperity??

Recently went to a very nice Vietnamese-owned boba shop called Mirakuru! They’re always changing up the interior decorations & their custom boba cup sleeves~ Plus, their sweetness levels feel actually accurate (not super sweet). Highly recommend :)

Hey girly! I'm not a fan of boba but I get the drinks without boba, lol. I'd love to grab a drink sometime together and go for a hike/walk if you're interested :-)

Where are you at in your life stage?
34f. I'm at a stage where I'm constantly growing and evolving. As a single mom of two and someone passionate about my job in public service, I'm focused on becoming the best version of myself. I'm learning to balance work, motherhood, and personal development while taking my health and well-being more seriously.
How's your life?
Life is busy, but I'm handling it. Between work, managing the household, and being a mom, it can get overwhelming, but I'm dedicated to staying productive and finding ways to improve. I'm eating well, getting enough sleep, and focusing on my health. I’m also trying to make time for creative outlets, even though it can be tough with my schedule.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Yoga, nature walks, and exercise help me stay grounded. I also love diving into graphic novels or dark fiction. Taking care of my health and making more time for art has been my priority recently.
What is most important to you right now?
Right now, my kids, my job, and my personal growth are at the forefront. I'm committed to improving my health, being more productive, and finding positive environments where I can thrive and possibly make friends. Expanding my horizons and learning new things are also really important to me.
Anything you recently found interesting?
I’ve recently been really interested in exploring my area more and finding fun, free resources for creative outlets. I’ve lived here all my life, but there’s still so much I haven’t experienced, and I’m excited to try new things and get back into artistic hobbies.

Where are you at in your life stage?
Figuring out how to be an adult. I'm 35 years old, have a good career, and have many friends (although they are mostly far away!). But other than these, I feel like I'm just figuring life out.
How's your life?
I'm happy with my life.
It's primarily peaceful. I like the routine of working, gym time, and home. Work makes it exciting. When I travel, I get to go on adventures.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Workout, right now I'm going rock climbing regularly. I like watching TV shows and going out to restaurants.
What is most important to you right now?
My career. It's my passion, and I want to do my best. I also want to figure out how to better adult. How to be more financially responsible, how to eat healthier, etc.
Anything you recently found interesting?
I'm trying to watch more movies and get back to reading. I'm also learning about meditation and mindfulness.

I’ve been trying to get into meditation and it’s quite difficult to calm the chatter in my mind. The app Calm has a 30 day challenge that really helps! Turning mid 30s is really kicking my butt into high gear about being better overall.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I’m in my early twenties, navigating the start of my career after graduation and figuring out what I want this next chapter of adulthood to look like. My background is in healthcare, but I’m open to exploring opportunities that inspire me and align with my passions. Lately, I’ve realized I’ve outgrown many of the connections I made in high school and college, which has sometimes felt isolating. While I’m grateful to have a wonderful partner and family to lean on, I’m hoping to build new friendships with people who value positivity, effort, and personal growth. Furthermore, I’m drawn to relationships that feel supportive and uplifting, so I’m excited to meet people who might share my interests and learn from different perspectives!
How's your life?
My life feels steady and enjoyable at the moment, but I'm trying not to live just for the weekends. Outside of work, I've been diving into hobbies I really enjoy. I recently got back into journaling, which has been a great way to reflect on my day and track healthy habits. I also enjoy watching k-dramas and anime, reading books and webtoons, playing games, and building legos or gundam models. I generally love anything that helps me unwind and have fun creatively.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Having some alone time to enjoy a peaceful activity really helps me recharge. I'll usually put on a show, and that's enough to help me rewind. Another way I stay sane is by having someone to talk to, whether it's my family, partner, or a close friend. Being able to share what's on my mind, vent when I need to, or just talk about the highlights of my day or week feels really important to me.
What is most important to you right now?
Right now, the most important thing to me is building better habits and creating a balanced lifestyle. I'm gradually learning to be more financially literate, manage my time effectively, and prioritize both my mental and physical well-being. For example, I've been setting aside time each week to tackle chores and errands, making an effort to drink more water (something I've struggled with ;-;), keeping up with my physical check-ups, and carving out moments for self-care. I'm additionally trying to surround myself with more people who are open-minded, motivating, and enjoy similar hobbies or interests!
Anything you recently found interesting?
I honestly thought this platform was really interesting. I've been looking for ways to connect with people, and while I was thinking about attending community or alumni events, this feels like such a straightforward and fun way to do it! The questions are short but direct, and they really reveal a lot about someone. Overall, I'm excited to give it a try and see where it goes!!

Where are you at in your life stage?
I'm in my early 30's working full time in the non-profit world. Looking to step outside my comfort zone and get more involved into the things that bring me joy. Always looking to improve my self, grow, and learn.
How's your life?
Life is decent, not too much to complain about, but definitely searching for my self after years of moving through life on cruise control
What helps you keep your sanity?
Music and coffee are the main ones! But being able to give back though my work is fulfilling. I am a case manager in workforce services.
What is most important to you right now?
Stepping outside of my comfort zone and finding myself, not to be melodramatic! But also growing professionally and personally.

Where are you at in your life stage?
My current sage in like feels like a big question mark if I’m being truthful. I’m currently unsure about everything but at the age of 23 I feel as though it’s pretty normal to feel this way. I go to school at Santa Ana college and work with reptile part time for a job. I really enjoy my job even though it’s not the most stable part thing in the world but it’s good while working on my degree. I took a break between high school and college because of the pandemic and being unsure of what I wanted to study.
How's your life?
I’d say my life is ok, I have a loving partner I’ve been with for 3 years and a good groups of friends (all long distance for many reasons) but it still feels like I have something missing. I’m looking for a community to try and fill a little bit of the void I think comes from not having many people around me. Other then that I feel as though life is starting to move in the right direction.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Video games, music, and exploring new things all help me keep my sanity. I feel as though being open to new experiences helps me in life along with therapy XD
What is most important to you right now?
I’d have to say school and work are most important at the moment because I’d really like to figure out my career and become more stable/independent.
Anything you recently found interesting?
Recently got into gem painting and have really enjoyed how relaxing it is.

As cliched an answer as it might be to say "spending time with my friends," that's my answer. It really is the simple things, and the older I get the more strongly I feel the truth of this.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I'm at the stage where I've come to realize (and gradually accept) that many of the goals and narratives I was raised on and believed in for much of my life are essentially scams - at least for me and many others in my generation and succeeding generations. And even if these goals were attainable, at this point I just don't want to pursue them anymore because of how massively unsustainable they are in every way. So the current period of my life has been about shedding these old goals and clarifying what my real goals will be going forward in this age of constant crises and disruptions that we are living in.
How's your life?
Extremely difficult right now due to having to be the sole caregiver for my mom while also working full-time and dealing with a health issue of my own. Working remotely allows me the flexibility to be a full-time caregiver and so I'm grateful for that, but it can also be quite isolating. My social life shrank to almost nothing since becoming a caregiver and I've had to give up certain personal projects and ambitions, at least for now. The next question about what keeps me sane is therefore a very important one.
What helps you keep your sanity?
One thing is art and pop culture, especially fiction in all its forms: film, TV, literature, and games. Another thing is my spirituality, which is non-dogmatic and not tied to any one particular religion or tradition though it's inspired by them all in some way or another. Finally, community and meaningful social connection has become so much more vital and important to me than ever before, and I'm making a lot of efforts to combat isolation (both my own and in society in general). Because of this, I've become quite the local community organizer despite being an introvert.
What is most important to you right now?
There are several things.
One is simply being the best caregiver I can be for my mom at this stage in her life. And being the best human I can be for my senior dog who is slowing down a lot.
Another is simply building more meaningful social connections in this age when people are feeling more isolated and lonely than ever despite the omnipresence of social and digital media. I could write on and on about this one topic alone.
And another is continuing to clarify and focus my new goals and priorities in what I called our age of constant crises and disruptions in question #1.
Anything you recently found interesting?
Tons of stuff!
I'm reading a novel called 'The Future' by Naomi Alderman which hooked me in the first several pages and has an intriguing premise.
I'm also reading a non-fiction book called 'Eye of the Storm: Facing Climate and Social Chaos With Calm and Courage,' which is about cultivating calm and compassion in the face of the escalating climate crisis and its ripple effects.
The Netflix movie 'Leave the World Behind' was interesting and timely.
And I just finished a game called 'Ghost of Tsushima' about the first Mongol invasion of Japan which is definitely one of my favorite games in recent years. The game is a fascinating meditation on the need to adapt with changing times because stubbornly clinging to old ways and traditions will only lead to collapse - a lesson that's very relevant for us in these precarious modern times.
