@grateful1 I plan to do communications for creative industries, with a focus on working directly with communities that need it most :) so I’m looking into working with nonprofits and public arts sectors!

"I'm craving real connection, but I can't even figure out how to answer a simple question like, 'How are you?' in a genuine way. How do you respond to that question?

My favorite photo I took in Antarctica. The trip changed a lot in my life for the better.

That sounds fantastic! It's great that you and your wife make time for both small and big trips throughout the year. We plan to stay locally in California this year and explore more the state parks. Do you have any exciting trips lined up soon?

Hiking, for sure. The Bay Area has so many wonderful parks & trails, each offering different views or experiences.

I definitely take advantage of being close to the beach. I play a beach volleyball pretty much every weekend and I plan my weekends around it. I love it.

Gardening is enjoyable to see the growth & changes throughout the year. Also enjoy the harvest when it comes. I love the nearby trails for running. Alameda Creek, Coyote Hills, Dry Creek, & Guadalupe Trail to name a few. Or even in the green zones and parks in the neighborhood are conveniently close by.

@mangalam What type of gardening do you like to do?

@CawfeeGurl All kinds - mostly edible. Most years we have a bounty of tomatoes, but this year we have a lot of zucchini. Also plums, strawberries, blackberries, sugar pie pumpkin, mint, new Zealand spinach, beets, limes, etc. I love the persimmons when they ripen around October. There's almost always something interesting happening or work to be done.

@mangalam That’s amazing. I enjoy gardening as well. Do you cook with or sell the produce? Or bake or make jams with the fruit?

I’ve been trying to get into meditation and it’s quite difficult to calm the chatter in my mind. The app Calm has a 30 day challenge that really helps! Turning mid 30s is really kicking my butt into high gear about being better overall.
