@grateful1 I plan to do communications for creative industries, with a focus on working directly with communities that need it most :) so I’m looking into working with nonprofits and public arts sectors!

I wake up at about 5:30 and then go for a morning walk about 6 either around the neighborhood or on the Aliso Creek Bike Trail.

I pray the Daily Office so on this walk I do my morning prayers and also play a little PokemonGo.

When I get home I will make a pot of breakfast tea and turn on some reruns on TV since the news is mostly bad these days.

I’ve been trying to get into meditation and it’s quite difficult to calm the chatter in my mind. The app Calm has a 30 day challenge that really helps! Turning mid 30s is really kicking my butt into high gear about being better overall.

@Amaranthine: travel-wise, Alaska! Loved how vast and massive it feels. And the glaciers! Local: Oakland's newest croissant place, Forma!

What’s a topic that fires you up, or that brings out the most passionate side of you?

Travel, spirituality, human connection. How humans are the same but different.. different but really also the same. Controversial topics that are considered taboo, or might be too much for this platform, topics that are generally misrepresented in mainstream media or outside of the group of people that are most severely affected.
When people deliberately misunderstand or take the most unhelpful view of a topic. Ex: feminism. It literally just means that everyone should have equality in dignity, autonomy, and choice. Nothing more, nothing less. But people misunderstand it to mean man-hating or women being against other women who want traditional roles and any number of other things. That disingenuous framing only serves to undermine the movement and take equality away from all of us.

Hi! I love how you expanded on childlike wonder and perception. I feel as if it is all too easy to let ourselves get caught up in the mundane routine of life when transitioning into adulthood- I strive to maintain my curiosity for life and appreciate the beauty that exists in the little things. I found the concept of your Costa Rica trip interesting! Solo traveling is definitely something I would like to try but I am hesitant to do so because traveling alone is a scary concept to me. Sent a coffee req :)

3pm tea time (and making time for other enjoyable things) is a great idea! Any favorite songs from your playlist?
