How do you find ways to keep dancing alive in your heart while life shifts around you?
hmmm, this is a veryyy goood question^^ for mee while life shifts around, keeping that passion alive to dance goes beyond the classroom. it's showingg gracee to others whenn they're goinn through itt, just as you have to show yourself somee when you're learning a new movement or technique in class ..orr showing up for others, just as you have to show up for yourself ..orr learning/knowing that there is always room for growthh and creating that safe space for yourself and others ..these are just some of the things that help keep dance with me, even if i am not dancing as much as I want to right now ..life is definitely a movementt, and in life is where we find the art to create movement and just danceeee :) hahahaaa, i hopeee that makes senseee! but yeeah, takeee courageee, let looose and just dancee it out! woot woot!! :))

haii! hmmm, life at this stage? i just turned 30 a couple months ago. i am in the bay temporarily for work, its not the ideal job for me at the moment, but i am thankful for it and it provides. i put my college studies on hold to pursue one of my dreams of dancinggg, and now dancing has kind of come to somewhat of a halt because of my job, but knowing the bay holds a lot of opportunities for dance, im looking into that..i think that’s about how much i can sum up where i am at this stage of my lifeee, without having to backspace five million times just to get to this point, lololll!
How's your life?
lifeee is lifeing, throwing me all the curveballs, lemons however you put itt, but i have learned to go with the flow and live in the moment as best i can, whether it be bad or good. i have so many things that i still want to do, and just turning 30, the adventure of new life chapters are still rolling. i am gratefull for everything in this moment and all that has led me to this point, would nott have it any other way :)

what's most important to me is my faith, family, friends dancing and my language learning journey. my faith keeps me grounded, my family is what keeps me going and working hard toward my dreams, my friends who are the extra spices in my life in which i hold dear and near (practically family), dancing which is heaven on earth to me, and last but not least my language journey, which i feel is very important to understanding people and their cultures (learninggg very slowlyyy but it is surelyyy goinn, hahaha)

Where are you at in your life stage?
Not where I wanna be. Not where I ever imagined, both in good and not-so-good ways. I’ve just hit midlife (yikes!) and still not married (no partner either) and no kids. I’ve never desired having kids but have always wanted to be married. Unfortunately fate/karma had/has other plans for me, it seems. So here I am! Seeking a new chapter of MEANINGFUL friendships!
How's your life?
All in all, I’m lucky in a lot of ways. It’s easy to complain about things not going my way, esp seeing everyone around me having what I want. But I have a roof over my head, can afford the necessities (food, clothes), and some luxuries. I have a job that allows me to afford my life, to which, I am grateful, even though there are parts of the job that aren’t ideal. I have more text friends than actual friends I meet up with regularly. I hope to start a new chapter here, making new connections in an unexpected way!
What helps you keep your sanity?
A good hearty catch up with friends over either a home cooked meal or a nice restaurant, followed by a glass of wine.
What is most important to you right now?
Most imp to me is finding something, anything that keeps me living. Not in the physical sense but emotionally/internally. I want to find that zest for life through friendships. I may never find a partner but friendships are a necessity. I want to find people who enjoy different activities; things that I like and things I’ve never tried and want to. I do love learning as well so all the better if I can learn from newfound friendships and equally share my knowledge as well!
Anything you recently found interesting?
I wouldn’t say this is interesting but I recently have been into library book sales and am trying to read more. Granted, I still can only read fiction, as I use them to mentally escape reality, I’ve grabbed the occasional non-fiction!

Having gratitude for what we have is so important. This seems like a good place to find friendships, and we can leave the rest to fate/karma :)

Where are you at in your life stage?
I am married to my lovely wife. We have 3 kids, a 4 year old and 2 year old twins. Both of us work too much for too little money but we are settling into being a family and just trying to find friends to join in our journey through life.
How's your life?
It's mostly great. I like my job and am working to getting further in my career. My kids drive me crazy but I wouldn't change it for the world. My spouse is super supportive of my. We are working together to make healthier life choices for our bodies and our wallets.
What helps you keep your sanity?
I have started 3d resin printing and painting the models and it's so peaceful. I also listen to audio books (typically different nonfiction / fantasy genres). And I really enjoy doing yard work, growing something fun, and keeping it clean and tidy for our kids to play in
What is most important to you right now?
My family. While I love my quiet time I love spending all the time I can with my kids and wife. We work too much to not spend time together whenever we can. And I work as much as I dare to make sure they get what they need!
Anything you recently found interesting?
I just started 3d printing and even newer to painting. I never thought I would have any artistic ability but I am not half bad at the painting!

Where are you at in your life stage?
34f. I'm at a stage where I'm constantly growing and evolving. As a single mom of two and someone passionate about my job in public service, I'm focused on becoming the best version of myself. I'm learning to balance work, motherhood, and personal development while taking my health and well-being more seriously.
How's your life?
Life is busy, but I'm handling it. Between work, managing the household, and being a mom, it can get overwhelming, but I'm dedicated to staying productive and finding ways to improve. I'm eating well, getting enough sleep, and focusing on my health. I’m also trying to make time for creative outlets, even though it can be tough with my schedule.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Yoga, nature walks, and exercise help me stay grounded. I also love diving into graphic novels or dark fiction. Taking care of my health and making more time for art has been my priority recently.
What is most important to you right now?
Right now, my kids, my job, and my personal growth are at the forefront. I'm committed to improving my health, being more productive, and finding positive environments where I can thrive and possibly make friends. Expanding my horizons and learning new things are also really important to me.
Anything you recently found interesting?
I’ve recently been really interested in exploring my area more and finding fun, free resources for creative outlets. I’ve lived here all my life, but there’s still so much I haven’t experienced, and I’m excited to try new things and get back into artistic hobbies.

Love that you keep an album of your favorite trees.
Being a single parent is tiring but also very rewarding. Taking care of your health is so important because it’s for yourself and also for your kids. Yoga, meditation, walks in nature are restorative.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I’m almost halfway through my 30s, child free so far, and recently recognizing the need to build, foster, provide, and maintain a support network outside of blood relatives.
How's your life?
My life is starting to smooth out now, after a lifetime of bumps and potholes. Lost both of my parents in the last 5 years - it has profoundly impacted my life, both the weight of the loss, and the weightlessness of the newfound freedom from toxic negativity.
What helps you keep your sanity?
My dogs, and my partner.
Taking a deep breath, coming back to the present moment with various grounding exercises. If time permits, taking 5-15 minutes to journal, starting with 1, 3, or 5 things I'm grateful for right now.
What is most important to you right now?
Nurturing my relationships, keeping my loved ones close, establishing professional stability to alleviate my anxiety about the future, learning about personal finances.
Anything you recently found interesting?
Learning to cook different things, practicing mindfulness and gratitude, doing balance exercises and paying attention to my body and what it needs

Where are you at in your life stage?
I just turned 30 recently and moved to this city from a far away, northern land. I feel deeply entrenched in my work life but desperate to experience what this city's soul is really like. I'm a little confused and conflicted, determined but directionless, and cold-footed yet brave. In a mid-season and sitcom-y fashion I'm redefining myself a little. Trying a bit of everything right now.
How's your life?
Unnecessarily filled with busywork and endless comparisons. It lacks a bit of grounding but generally by all conventional metrics it's pretty good. I'm technically in a good place but there's a lopsided balance skewing towards work right now. I travel a lot and meet great people, I get to try a lot of new things that are fun and weird, and I have time in the mornings to make french omelettes. I plan silly things with equally silly people and it keeps me happy.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Finding the time to laugh, keeping up with old friends, and diving into new, random hobbies. For example I had a niche perfumery phase just recently and am on the cusp of entering my 'building model kits' phase. I also take long walks and go to smaller venue rave shows where I can headbang and lose myself in the music a little. During bad weeks I'll be tied to the couch binge watching TV and eating salty foods. I need places to be anonymous sometimes so I can fade into the background comfortably.
What is most important to you right now?
Defining things. I don't like that it's what's most important to me right now, but it's just what I keep coming back to. I recently also had a revived appreciation for my family and relationships so I've been thinking more long term in terms of how I want my life to look. Otherwise, I think unapologetic authenticity is what I'm trying to strive towards. I would very much like that.
Anything you recently found interesting?
The National Havoc Robot League (NHRL) hosts an annual world championship in Norwalk, CT and tickets are actually pretty reasonably priced.

Where are you at in your life stage?
Just moved to the city late last year! Trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with life and figuring out who I am/growing comfortable with myself. Trying to keep my enthusiastic and positive energy steady with all interactions I have with others. I just want to make genuine connections and learn from others. Self discovery and growth is at a high for me now!
How's your life?
Life is okay. I have a good job and a decent support system but something feels missing, and I'm not entirely sure what it is. I've been learning a lot about my past and how it affected me while actively trying to practice positive changes.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Going out on walks/drives/being in nature. Eating good food!! Any kind interaction with a stranger. Those little memorable exchanges make a huge difference. Also dogs and cats haha.
What is most important to you right now?
Just being more comfortable being vulnerable! It's something I've always struggled with in the past and i feel like I closed off parts of myself that I actually like. I want to grow out of my shell again and I think just having meaningful conversations with others and allowing myself to meet new people/try new things would help!

I heard that if you see a banana slug for the first time that you're supposed to kiss it (Santa Cruz local tradition haha).

Where are you at in your life stage?
I'm someone in my early 40s, currently dating. The hardest part is 1) making new connections (I'm a transplant) and 2) maintaining the ones I have because most of my friends are busy with their spouses and kids. Recently one of my best friends had shoulder surgery and is currently housebound for the next 6 weeks and I'm secretly thrilled! I call her at anytime without worrying that I'm interfering with her life and she likes it when I call because she's super bored haha.
How's your life?
It's a lot better ever since I switched jobs and aren't pulling 14-hour days. I got really burned out at one point. So I'm learning to take breaks and not make my whole life about work (even though I enjoy my career!). Tomorrow I'm doing a movie night with coworkers and in a couple of weeks I'm visiting Japan for the first time. It feels weirdly scary to take PTO but I'm telling myself it's OK. I think being the daughter of refugees has made me think that life is just about work and survival but I'm sure my parents would want me to be happy too.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Getting lost in a good book
What is most important to you right now?
Wellness. Got a personal trainer! I'm getting my azz kicked! :D

Okay so I used to think sports were really boring. Guys going back and forth across the field? Racecars going around and around in circles? I have never been so happy to be so wrong. One of my exes taught me about American football and WOW it is endlessly interesting. There are so many cool scenarios that can happen right down to the last 2 seconds. And then there's Formula 1 -- so many interesting situations there too! The choice of tire compound the weather conditions the tracks themselves it's all so so interesting and so great.

Definitely get it about the friends with spouses and kids! I had a solid group, and then everyone went and got married - some of them to each other - or they left the Bay Area. C'est la vie, I suppose.

@RAF11 I guess they'll return to us when their kids turn 18?? LOL. But yeah, over time I've noticed that most of my friends are child-free
