Around The Corner, beginning a new

In coffee, a lungo is pulled longer than espresso by letting more water pass through the grounds during extraction—letting different qualities to emerge.
A slower place to keep memories before you know what they mean.
Previously Around The Corner. Now opening as Lungo.
Begin with three old photos. These three photos are submitted during the application and become the starting point of your public archive.
Then, return to it over time to add reflections as meaning changes.
Scroll to see selected archives.
If this way of remembering resonates with you, apply to join us.
Lungo is a photographic archive designed for reflection.
You begin by selecting 10–20 photos of yours with no human faces.
Entries are publicly viewable, but they aren’t ranked or liked.
Over time, you’ll receive one prompt at a slower rhythm, inviting you back to revisit and add to your archive.
Around The Corner began as a small experiment and grew into a community of thousands across California.
As it grew, the platform reached limits in how well it could support slower, more reflective use.
Rather than stretch it beyond what it could responsibly hold, we chose to close Around The Corner and build something new from the ground up.
Lungo carries the same care for human experience, but with a different structure, pace, and intention.
Lungo is now open.
If you were part of Around The Corner, you’re invited to continue with Lungo—a slower space for keeping your moments and memories over time.
